Custom Software Development for Education

Custom LMS, university back-office tools and corporate learning platforms: SCORM, xAPI, SSO, WCAG AA accessibility and proctoring that actually catches cheating.

What Education Software Delivers

How We Build Your Education Software

  1. Stakeholder mapping: Education has more decision-makers than any other industry: IT, pedagogy, finance, families, regulators. We identify them upfront so we are not surprised by a parents' association in week 8.
  2. Compliance and accessibility baseline: RGPD-Menores (LOPD-GDD Art. 7 for under-14 consent), regional education-authority data flows, accessibility legislation (Real Decreto 1112/2018 in Spain, Section 508 in the US, EAA from June 2025).
  3. Content and assessment model: We design how courses, units, assessments, gradebooks and competency frameworks fit together, once and properly, so report cards and transcripts generate without manual reformatting.
  4. Build with teachers in the room: Every two-week cycle includes a session with actual teachers from the institution. Engineers see the user; the user sees the engineer; the gap between syllabus and software shrinks.
  5. Accessibility audit and remediation: Before launch, an external accessibility audit against WCAG 2.2 AA and the relevant national standard. We fix everything classified as A or AA before go-live; AAA where it is reasonable.
  6. Phased rollout by cohort: We launch with one cohort or one school first, get a real term of usage data, fix the things that only show up at scale, then expand.

High-performance stack used by global leaders

React/Next.js/Angular on the frontend and Java 21 + Spring Boot + PostgreSQL 14 on the backend: the same stack that BBVA, ING, and Netflix use for their security and performance.

Education Software: FAQ

How much does it cost to build an education software product?

A focused LMS for a single academy, €40,000-€90,000. A multi-tenant LMS for an academy network or a corporate LXP, €100,000-€250,000. A university back-office layer (admissions, internship matching, alumni) on top of an existing SIS, €80,000-€200,000. A standalone proctoring product, €120,000+ because of the ML and AV processing.

How long does implementation take?

A first usable LMS in 10-14 weeks. A full platform with SSO, content migration and assessment workflow takes 5-8 months, and we always align the launch with an academic term, never mid-semester.

Are you familiar with education-specific regulations?

Yes. RGPD with the under-14 specifics of the Spanish LOPD-GDD, FERPA for US K-12 and university clients, Real Decreto 1112/2018 (accessibility of public-sector websites in Spain), Section 508, the European Accessibility Act (mandatory June 2025), and regional flows like GestIB for Balearic schools or Séneca for Andalusia.

Can you integrate with our LMS or SIS?

Yes. Moodle (REST and webhook plugins), Canvas (LTI 1.3 and Live Events), Blackboard, D2L Brightspace, Google Classroom (Classroom API), Microsoft Teams for Education. SIS-side: Universitas XXI, SIGMA, Banner, PeopleSoft, Anthology Student. Roster via OneRoster 1.2 and Clever where applicable.

How do you handle data residency and student privacy?

EU student data stays in EU regions, US student data stays in US regions, and we keep them strictly separated. Under-14 sign-ups require explicit parental consent through a verifiable channel (we have built bank-redirect and SMS-token flows). Data minimisation is the default: we collect what the curriculum requires, nothing more.

Can you support synchronous video classes?

Yes. We integrate with Zoom (LTI), Microsoft Teams Education, BigBlueButton (which we self-host for some clients to avoid per-minute pricing), and Jitsi for smaller groups. Recordings are auto-transcribed, indexed and surfaced inside the LMS where the lesson lives.

Do you handle online certifications and badges?

Yes. PDF certificates with QR validation, Open Badges 3.0 / Verifiable Credentials issued to a wallet, and integration with platforms like Accredible or Credly when the customer prefers an external badge provider. Useful for corporate L&D and continuing-education products.

Can you build a parents app?

Yes, and we recommend it. Native iOS and Android apps for families with grades, attendance, school messages, payment of activities and lunch. Push notifications, multilingual interface, and a single login for parents with kids in different cohorts. Adoption metrics jump dramatically once families have a real app vs. a parent-portal web page.

Do you work with clients globally?

Yes. We work fully remote with clients across Spain, Europe, the US and LATAM. Time zones, video calls and live demos at every milestone.
